A River Town's Hacker Heritage: Samuel Clemens, Josephine Baker, and Marshall McLuhan | ArtHackDay @ The Venture Café Gathering (Havana) | St. Louis | Missouri | United States

Paul Guzzardo, with the help of a posse of like minded St. Louis digital creatives, worked to excavate and celebrate St. Louis’s hacker “creative trickster” heritage. Digital remix projects involving Samuel Clemens, Josephine Baker, and Marshall McLuhan were created between 2004-07. Guzzardo will discuss this work, and explain why he thinks it is even more relevant today then when it was made.
