Associated British Foods Night @ The Thursday Gathering @ Venture Cafe St. Louis | St. Louis | Missouri | United States

The folks who are passionate about baking are bringing in executives from their parent company to our Thursday Gathering. AB Mauri will be showcasing bread innovations as well as the latest in food sustainability.

Here’s a taste of what’s to come:

  • Find 19 executives from 9 different countries representing 15 separate business units of the same $15 billion international food, ingredients and retail group – Associated British Foods at Venture Café on Thursday. These ABF representatives are especially looking forward to networking with the St. Louis region’s innovation community.
  • A panel lead by AB Biotek’s VP of Yeast Innovation Dr. John Evans, PhD, on GMOs and sustainable food products, with panelists from Intrexon, Monsanto, Evolve24 and NewLeaf Symbiotics will take place in Havana at 5pm.
  • From 5-8 p.m., AB Mauri will feature a variety of baked goods – including artisan, sourdough breads with Aromaferm cereal ferment ingredients and sweet treats from AB Mauri baking ambassador and FEAST Magazine pastry chef of the year Lia Weber – along with assorted meats & cheeses
  • 23 City Blocks will showcase bites in the cafe area
  • AB Mauri and AB Biotek will host an Urban Chestnut 2nd bar on the 2nd level featuring a variety of new local craft beers from 5-8 p.m.
  • A bakery virtual reality experience & an iSnap social media photo station
  • NewLeaf and Intrexon will have info tables just outside the Havana Room upstairs, and Intrexon is planning to showcase the new Okanagan Specialty Fruits’ Arctic® apple, a non-browning, GMO apple just introduced into the marketplace.

This special event sponsored by AB Mauri North America at Venture Café.
